Our Mangan Studio

French Manga Studio is a creative collective of seven full-time artists dedicated to producing original manga, comics, and bande dessinée. Based in France, the studio brings together French and Asian artists, blending diverse artistic traditions to craft unique storytelling experiences. Creative Process

Creating a manga involves a multi-step creative process, where imagination meets structure to bring stories to life. Here’s how a typical manga studio brings a manga from concept to publication:

Idea
The manga creation process begins with a core idea — a theme, concept, or unique world that sparks the story. This step focuses on brainstorming characters, setting, and plot direction.

Storyboard
In this stage, the artist creates rough page layouts, also called "name" in Japanese manga production. It includes sketches of panel arrangements, basic dialogue, and action flow to visualize the pacing and storytelling.

Illustration
Once the storyboard is approved, the artist finalizes the line art, adds details, inks the drawings, and applies tones and effects. Backgrounds and character expressions are polished for visual impact.
04
Publishing
The finished manga is then edited and prepared for distribution — either in print, online, or both. This phase includes proofreading, formatting, and collaborating with publishers or platforms to reach readers.
